RARE HISTORIC Shotokan Karate Video Keio University 1974 Bo, Sai, Kata, Bunkai ( Part 2, 2)
Link to Part 1: This is Part 2 of a very rare video prepared for the 50th Anniversary of the Keio University Karate Club s founding (placing it around 1974 two years before Mr. Obata s passing) by the club s alumni association. This part contains two Bo kata, 1 Sai kata, and several kata not usually included in the Shotokan Syllabus. Isao Obata (who appeared in Part 1) was a direct student of Shotokan founder Gichin Funakoshi and a founder of the Japan Karate Association (JKA). Master Obata was Master Kazumi Tabata s teacher. This film was found among Master Tabata s personal effects after his passing.
