Houston Cops Target Volunteers FEEDING THE HOMELESS
For more than a decade Houston, Texas has had a law on the books that effectively outlaws feeding the homeless but the city has only recently begun enforcing the law, fining Good Samaritans for holding events where food is distributed to homeless people, typically on public property on the grounds of the citys library. But the new crackdown has come with controversy as city residents wonder why their tax dollars are being directed at volunteers seeking to help out Houstons most destitute inhabitants.
