On the chilly winters morning of January the 10th 2021, I had the pleasure to have interviewed author and scholar of old and middle English literature right up to modern fantasy and science fiction, Dr. Tom Shippey. He has published many books, most notably about Tolkien AUTHOR OF THE CENTURY ROAD TO MIDDLE EARTH but the book we talked about was his latest; LAUGHING SHALL I DIE: THE LIVES AND DEATHS OF THE GREAT VIKINGS.
