Full title reads: New York. Golden Gloves. New York, United States of America (USA). Amateur boxing finals. LV The light heavyweight final of the Golden Gloves Tournament between Jim Joiner and Don Waldhelm. Waldhelm puts Joiner down with a left hand. TS As Joiner stands up. CU Press photographer. SV The two carry on fighting and Joiner goes down again and the referee stops the contest in Waldhelm s favour. LV Crowd. CU Gene Tunney. TS Pete Spanakos in the dark trunks and Angelo Alvarez in the final of the featherweight class. Spanakos has Alvarez up against the ropes and they stand there slogging it out. CU Press photographer. SV As they move out into the middle of ring and stand there throwing punches. LV Crowd. SV Spankos has Alvarez on the ropes again and they stand there throwing punches. LV Crowd. LV The two boys now very tired in the middle of ring leaning on each other. Then Spanakos seems to wake up and throws some very good punches until the bell goes and ends fight. SV Crowd applauding.
