The lyrics come from Guitarist Walerius, himself a member of the Tornedalian minority in Sweden. Irminsûl is also the first Lombolo song to feature the Kantele, a traditional Finnish instrument. Lombolo is a young upandcoming folk metal band from Sollentuna, Sweden. Putting their own fluteheavy spin on folk metal every member of the trio shares vocal duties (ranging from cleans to growls to fry shrieks). Their sound blends traditional Scandinavian music with power metal and melodic death metal and their lyrics deal with history and folklore.
