Practice Chanter Pakistani Parlor Pipes
since I ve ruined two chanter reeds trying to fix that screwy D note. I ve given up, so instead of trying to fix the note, I ve decided to reduce the volume by beeswaxing the bottom part of the finger hole. I also did the same to the F note because it was broadcasting too loudly. Also my center tenor drone reed was going flat when I would pressure up the bag, which is the opposite of what the other tenor and the bass drone were doing, and even a couple of times the drone blade would stay open and create a huge air leak. So I filled in the groove built into the reed body right at the point where the reed was tuning at, flipped the reed and then retuned. I really need something better than the microphone I m using because it is fairly tinny and doesn t demonstrate the roundness of the pipes.
