OVCC tries to stay neutral on political issues because we have volunteers with different political views, and we aren t a political channel, we just want to share Orthodoxy with the world. Regardless of what side of the conflict in Ukraine you might be on, this is an interesting insight into how Christianity is manifesting itself in the Russian military. It is from a January 2023 news segment on Spas, Russia s largest Christian TV channel. The segment, unsurprisingly, takes a strong proRussian position, but that is not why we found it interesting.
