The Samurai Challenge Not a San Mai, Not a Katana
The original title was San Mai Katana, but after so many people wanting to correct it and so many others just wanting to show off or bother me, I thought it would be fun to change the title saying what this sword is not. The truth is that I did it to have fun and participate in a game, I don t care what they call it. ;) Hey guys Today I bring something new: my first sword It would take a little longer to make this piece, but as The Samurai Challenge came up, I ended up anticipating it. In order to be able to build it on time and without delaying my orders too much, I opted for a simpler constitution than a traditional katana. The fulltang shape guarantees a lot of robustness, and has a certain practicality in assembly. To put the traditional binding on the grip, I opted for san mai steel with manganese phosphate treatment, which will protect the carbon in the center from any type of oxidation.
