Could HERMEUS turn the hypersonic arms race on its head

Hermeus was established in 2018 with the lofty goal of fielding hypersonic aircraft for the commercial sector that could eventually even ferry passengers across the Pacific Ocean in as little as 90 minutes. This goal, while certainly ambitious, isnt necessarily unique in itself there have been lots of highspeed aircraft programs over the years. What makes Hermeus special isnt that theyre reaching for the stars but rather, how firmly theyre keeping their feet planted on the ground as they do. Their pragmatic approach to hypersonic flight has caught the U. S. Air Force s and if they re successful, the world will be next.
