Jimi Hendrix Crosstown Traffic ( Blues Metal Cover by Wicked Rumble)
Jimi Hendrix Crosstown Traffic (Blues Metal Cover by Wicked Rumble) Crosstown Traffic is the third track from the The Jimi Hendrix Experience third and final album Electric Ladyland, released in 1968. The song compares our life to a freeway, and people to cars. Jimi Hendrix dedicated it to one of his friends, who, in his opinion, severely limited his freedom. It is ironic that the song was practically the last one written and published in collaboration with producer Chas Chandler, from under whose wing Jimmy then firmly decided to break free. Stylistically, the song is a mixture of blues and acid rock. The originality of the sound of the song was given by the wind instrument kazoo, which Jimmy designed himself from tissue paper and a hairbrush. We were immediately inspired by the combination of a light and melodic melody with hard aggressive riffs and vocal presentation. Hendrix did not perform this song live, on the contrary, we fell in love for a long time and included this song in our concert progra
