Biden not quitting presidential race, insists White House
President Biden is weighing up whether to stay in the presidential race, according to an ally who spoke to him, as a new poll gave Donald Trump his biggest lead yet. Trump was put ahead by six points among likely voters, 49 to 43 per cent, a gain of three points in just a week following Bidens disastrous debate performance and Trumps largest margin in a New York Times, Siena College poll since 2015. Among all registered voters Trumps lead was even bigger at 49 to 41 per cent. Biden, 81, understands that his political survival is on the line and he cannot afford another slipup in makeorbreak appearances over the next few days, including an ABC News interview and events in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
