Intercut with these shots are shots of a young lady sitting before a mirror. A woman combs the girl s long hair and seems to be suggesting a new hairstyle; the girl frowns, unconvinced. We later see the girl with a smooth pageboy cut. More good shots of girls in black shorts and white shirts tied under the bust doing more exercises, bending and stretching into fancy, balletic poses. They are then weighed and have their vital statistics measured. A girl in an oldfashioned gown with ostrich feather headdress and fan (probably court costume) stands on a pedestal and takes a curtsey under the eye of an instructress.
