Thirdseeded Northwestern State defeated topseeded Nicholls 42 in the 2015 Southland Conference Women s Tennis Tournament championship match Sunday afternoon in Beaumont, Texas. Northwestern then took a 20 lead in the match after Piatakova earned a dominant 60, 62 win over the Colonels Nakonechna at No. 5 singles.
