What Did the Mesopotamians Believe About Geography
In the modern world, we take for granted our vast and accessible knowledge of geography, but for most of history, people had a fairly limited scope of geography. The history of the human endeavor to conceptualize the physical world is long and winding, and from what we can tell, it finds its beginning in Mesopotamia. This video will explore this critical first part of the story through the lens of religious, literary, and scholarly texts to hopefully better illuminate how we got where we are.
