Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare (performed by VPO brass section )

This is a performance of the Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare by Richard Strauss at the Wiener Philharmoniker Ball in January 2011. The video was taken from a perspective behind me as we played the fanfare for the entry of the dignitaries and debutantes. It was the 70th anniversary of the Ball, and we had a a great time playing it. If you listen closely, you ll hear something I m proud I play the famous low Eflat to high Eflat horn lick at the end of the 2nd time through. :) The brass section you see in the video is mostly VPO brass players with some substitutes. To my left is Mark Gaal and in the row in front of me all the way to the left is Dietmar Küblböck. Enjoy
