Severe hailstorms hit parts of Sydney on Wednesday afternoon, while unseasonable snow fell elsewhere in New South Wales. Hailstorms hit parts of the central business district and surrounding suburbs just after lunch. The Bureau of Meteorology said hail as well as showers are possible in the city in the early evening when the day was much colder than usual.
