Jeremiah Chiu Rococco Rondo In Session at VSM Los Angeles

On June 29th, 2023, Jeremiah Chiu walked into the Vintage Synthesizer Museum (VSM) in Highland Park, Los Angeles, with no plan more specific than lets fire this stuff up and see what happens. After just two days of tracking and two days of editing, Chiu emerged with In Electric Time, an album of intuitive organic electronic music released September 29th, 2023, on International Anthem. One of the things Chiu decided to do on day 1 of the In Electric Time session was deconstruct and recreate a version of The Ghostwriters 1986 tune Rococo This short film by Burkie gives a candid glimpse into that session, where Chiu (alongside VSM founder Lance Hill and engineer Ben Lumsdaine) listens, deciphers, andgoes into a deep gear zone toprogram Rococco Rondo for performance on the museum, studio s extensive collection of vintage synths.
