Donald, Trump has branded his historic hushmoney trial a sham as it enters its second day. Over 50 potential jurors have been dismissed for admitting they could not remain fair and impartial during the, trial of the former US president and the remainder have been subjected to rigorous questioning. Lawyers are attempting to select 12 New York City jurors to consider Mr Trump s guilt or innocence and are interrogating everything from their newsconsumption habits to their previous attendance at Trump rallies. Mr Trump denies falsifying business records to conceal a hushmoney payment to Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress. The Manhattan District Attorneys office alleges that Mr Trump directed Michael Cohen, his former lawyer, to pay Ms Daniels 130, 000 in exchange for her silence about an alleged sexual encounter that the former president denies took place. ,money Mr Trump is the first former US president to face criminal trial.
