Feral, abandoned cat comes inside for the first time

I built a nice little house for a feral, abandoned cat that has been visiting me for months so he could live on my deck. Of course I provided food and water for him too. It took a very long time before I was even able to pet, or get within 20 feet of him before he ran off.
