Making a Modern Tanto for a UFC Legend

In this video Walter Sorrells makes a modern defensive knife for jiujitsu coach extraordinaire, John Danaher. The blade combines the best of modern and ancient techniques and material to make a blade fit for the modern samurai. The blade is modeled after a type of tanto (defensive knife) known as an osoraku. Danaher, a direct student of Renzo Gracie, and now a lead instructor at Gracie s New York jiujitsu academy, has coached such UFC luminaries as Georges St. Pierre. More at
