The surprising reason for why this woman feels lonely

After WWII, many countries, scarred by the war, implemented strict measures to ensure peace and stability, often at the expense of spontaneity and open communication among their people. This hindered the healing of postwar wounds, fostering an environment of mistrust and isolation. We see this play out at the individual level within this woman. When I asked her how she felt about feeling lonely, she replied, I wouldnt say I really know anything else. Its been life here.
