Choker (2016)
This performance is a part of a series where I explore possible interactions between the body and everyday objects. I construct ambiguous situations to make the spectator wonders about the outcome. My goal is to grab attention and provoke an associational thought process. I created an ambiguous situation that resembles the BDSM practice called clothespins play. I use clothespins to create a choker around my neck. Then I twist my head until all the pins fall off. The performance connotes the ambiguous message that to be beautiful one needs to suffer.
