A lady gave it to him, saying it had been in her family for years. In Tunis, her greatgrandfather had found an old man lying in the road and took him home. They arrived at the man s house, a huge place full of treasures in every room. The old man told the Englishman he was the Wandering Jew and gave him the snuff box.
