Cripple Creek, Cumberland Gap Old Time banjo
Played on a reproduction 1840s minstrel banjo. The style is a mix of preCivil War minstrel stroke with oldtime frailing clawhammer. In a recent conversation, I talked about how songs can be played together if they are similar in rhythm, tempo, and general feel; here s a good (in my opinion ) example.
