Anna Karenina is a 1961 British BBC television adaptation of Leo Tolstoy s 1877 novel Anna Karenina. It features Claire Bloom, Sean Connery, Jack Watling, June Thorburn, and Albert Lieven. In the Russia of the 1880s, Anna Karenina sacrifices her marriage when she has a passionate affair with an army officer.
