My One Desire (D. Burnette) The Straycats were the beginning of a 2nd Rockabilly revival after the revival of the 70 s which was mainly unleashed by British bands. And as with any generation, it has to be tougher than the previous generation. At the beginning of the 80 s that gave some problems between the different groups of Rockabilly fans. Now, after years the directions are a lot more mixed up and many Teddy boy will also have the records of the Staycats in their closet. This hasn t always been the On the first record of the Straycats is the song My One Desire. I immediately thought it was a super song at the time. Later I found out it was an original by Ricky Nelson and even later it was written by Dorsey Burnette. I haven t played this song very long myself, but I liked to record it.
