US and UK among several countries to pause Unrwa funding

The US, UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands and Finland have suspended funding for the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa), after Israel alleges that 12 of its 13, 000 employees in Gaza were involved in Hamas attacks. Unrwa said it had severed ties with a number of employees and launched an investigation.
