Kristina Kovalyova Quintet Ukrainian folksongs(live Cobra Museum 2022)

She studied singing and piano at the Luhansk College of Music and chose jazz. During her music studies in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, her love for Ukrainian folk music grew out of homesickness. Musically she grew further in Moscow and St. Petersburg but then came to Amsterdam to study here at the Conservatory. In this formation the quintet played together for the first time in restaurant Duende in Amsterdam just a couple of months ago. And now here in our session in the Cobra Museum of Modern Art in Amstelveen. In 2019 she recorded her first CD: Hristya v Namysti.
