Ravens Skull Repousse California Red Pitch

, blacksmith, blacksmithing In this video, I experiment with pitch as a backer for a repousse process. The project is a pair of raven skull cloak pins from brass sheet. The process begins by raising a bulge from the brass sheet metal. The Medium California red pitch is then melted to fill this bulge. Afterwards, the piece is clamped to a steel stake and the shaping begins. this is accomplished with a variety of punches and chisels. Check out our Teespring page and support the channel: teespring. c
