Evidence Audio SIS ( Screw In Solderless) Plug
I m looking at this 100 years don t leave the center conductor that long. Just expose 23mm is all. Cheers for instructions. I don t build typical stranded cables in order for them to sound as they should. That and a few other important things; however the solidcore conductor of my Monorail patch cable has kept me from offering the the ubiquitous (and only) other option of shoving a needle into strands for solderfree contact. Solution The inside of the SIS plug has a hole instead of a pin, and the inside of that hole has been very precisely threaded with a microCNC process. When you insert my Monorail cable into the SIS plug, the process of screwing on the cap actually taps the softer solid copper conductor and forms an airtight connection as it threads into the tip of the plug. You can hang a small baby off the copper wire when it is screwed into the tip of the SIS plug. The connection is solid beyond reason. Close up the plug completely and the connection stays in pl
