Qubbat an Najma
On the top of the Mountain which dominates over the territory from Bethel to the Jordan Valley there stands one of the oldest Palestinian shrines Qubbat anNajma. There are a few versions about the origin of this name and the name of the person buried in the tomb. One people think that Arabic Qubbat anNajma the dome of a morning star is a poetic name given to the shrine. Others believe that a Muslim sheikha Sitt Zuhra is buried there, as she was worshipped in the settlement at the foot of the mountain.
