Rita Pierson: Every kid needs a champion

Teachers are not paid to like their students. Every kid needs a champion, someone who will believe in the kid when they can t believe in themselves. A champion to help them succeed and believe. Children should have someone who urges them to take strides that they themselves dont think they can take.
