DIY Sashiko mending with style fun and stylish visible mending, stitch, sashiko, repair
Thank you for watching In this video, I will mend a pair of jeans which has a hole and stains with Sashiko. The Sashiko stitches reinforce the fabric and help to prevent the fabric from stretching further. It also means the mended area loses the stretch. So make sure that your jeans are not too tight from the first place The method I used for Sashiko is called Hitomezashi. Hitomezashi uses a grid to create a pattern. There are many different patterns you can stitch using this method. I drew grids of 5mm squares inside all the circles. You can also use 1, 4 inch squares instead.
