When Gene Autry (Gene Autry) discovers sheep grazing on his land that belong to Native Americans, he confronts the tribe, only to find a young girl who s seriously ill. The town doctor examines her and sees that she s suffering from malnutrition. Further investigation finds that tradingpost owner Smiley Martin (Frank Richards) is depriving the natives of their livelihood to blackmail them for a valuable object. Gene decides to help, and challenges the Indian Bureau and an uninterested press.
