Citizen scientists have spotted a new dancing light display in the sky, but it s not the usual aurora. Citizen scientists call it Steve although scientists are making STEVE an acronym meaning Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement based on its characteristics from simultaneous satellite observations.
