Making a Chest of Drawers. This video shows the making of a six drawer tall chest. This Chest is made of solid tiger maple from one log for consistency of figure throughout the entire chest. The construction of this chest is made with hand cut dovetail joinery. The chest top has a custom crown molding with exposed dovetail joinery. The drawers are made of solid quarter sawn poplar with solid one piece figured poplar drawer bottoms. The drawers are joined with hand cut dovetails.
