India puts trust in Russia as oil trade numbers rise

A major Indian oil company has increased imports from Russia by about 900 yearonyear. The company s executive director hailed the rise in bilateral trade between the countries. Russia is India s fifth largest trade partner, up from number 25 just a year ago. We spoke to a New Delhibased economist, who believes if Russia offers cheap oil, there s no reason not to buy it.
