On September 16, without any legal procedure, the German government took over the Russian oil giant Rosnefts subsidiary in Germany, and the last time they bypassed the law to confiscate assets was when the Nazis came into power. With soaring inflation, rising societal resentment and farright governments coming into power, it seems like Europe is heading back to the 1930s.
