Showering my plants in summer to induce growth and comfort

I shower my plants to remove dust, mud and pests. In summer especially plants seem to love it. I normally wash them in the early evening but once in a while I do it amid the heat of the day. Is important not to overdo the midday showers as they may act as solar lenses and burn the leaves.
