Air Force s Pararescuemen also known as PJs, Pararescue Jumpers, CSAR, and Air Commandos are elite soldiers who are tasked with recovery and medical treatment of personnel in humanitarian and combat environments. Pararescue Jumpers are also used to support NASA missions and have been used to recover astronauts after water landings. As well as recovering downed pilots deep behind enemy lines.
