Ilona Staller ( Cicciolina) I Was Made For Dancin (1979)
1979 was a highly prolific year for Ilona Staller aka Cicciolina, the Hungarianborn porn star who made a breathtaking career in Italy. Not only did she appear in the star vehicle Cicciolina amore mio, also her debut album, simply titled Ilona Staller, was released by major label RCA. That album cleverly acted as the soundtrack for the aforementioned film and yielded a number of hits in the form of sultry classics like Labbra or Più Su Sempre Più Su. The discoinspired I Was Made For Dancin (a cover of the Leif Garrett song) opens the album and borrows from Frankie Vallis Grease (not that that should spoil the fun). Cicciolina was the new star of state television RAI Uno, for which she performed every week in front of millions of viewers. So too in this fantastic clip, in which Ilona, locked in a plastic bubble, shows her pop star colleagues how to command attention.
