For those of you who wonder where I go to buy my euro chic finds in Italy, this is just one of the many wholesale markets I visit, about an hour outside of Rome. I was fortunate enough to befriend a business woman in Rome who works in the fashion industry four years ago. Last year, for the first time, she offered to take me buying, acting as my translator and colleague. This week was my second year buying with her, trying to be smarter about selecting not too bulky pieces to ship home (made that mistake last year). What an eye opening, exhilarating experience it is each year. It takes a keen eye to sift through so much inventory. We shopped together for nine hours on Monday, both agreeing we enjoyed working together as we are both sole proprietors and work solo mostly. I feel very lucky to have met Eloise.
