2023 Honorable Mention International Young Artist Concerto Competition with SEEN Worldwide Orchestra Conducted by Connor Gray Covington Chicago IL Zachary Allen is a Merit Scholar at the Music Institute of Chicago where he has studied with Erica Anderson for five years. He is also an inaugural fellow of the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative. Zachary is a 2022 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award recipient and was featured on NPRs From the Top. He has also appeared on WFMTs Introductions as principal oboist of the Chicago Youth Symphony and a a member of the Jubilee Winds quintet. In the spring of 2022, Zachary made his Carnegie Hall debut at age 17 as a winner of the American Fine Arts Festival. He was also the winner of the Winds Division of the 2021 DePaul Concerto Festival For Young Performers as well as the Winds and Percussion category for the 2020 Midwest Young Artists Walgreens National Concerto Competition
