On The Trail: Hiking Rock Climbing Adventure

A beautiful hiking trip into the Scottish hills Day one we headed out from Dinnet crossroads and walked around Loch Kinord to get over to Burn O Vat. From there we walk through the Vat valley and set up camp for the night towards the end of the valley itself. We took a day out to climb in the Burn O Vat. We only got the three routes in but it still was a great day out climbing. Day three we headed out from the Burn o Vat towards the hills and over the moorland to get to the base of Morven. Hiking up 875ft to the top of Morven with a 140L backpack was not easy but well worth the stunning views on top. After Morven it was just a matter of descending down and then the long trek over the hills and into Ballater to catch the bus out. This was an amazing little hiking and camping trip so I m glad to share it with you. .
