Eight Separate Fists ( Part 1)
Ba Fen (Eight Parts) is a kind of a pun on the other style connected to Chuo Jiao known as Ba Fan or Ba Shan Fan. For a style known as Penetrating Foot this is a relatively handoriented set. Structured somewhat like a Shaolin Long Art form it shows many Long Fist movements like Pi Gua coupled with some nice kicks and of course the characteristic Chuo Jiao Back Flip kick. Applications of many of the movements are shown in the instructional sections. Demonstrator: AN JI YONG is a 6th generation inheritor of Chuo resembling Xing Yi in its directness; something like Northern Shaolin for its kicking skills: Chuo Jiao (Penetrating Kick) is one of the oldest recorded styles of Kung Fu still in existence. Chuo Jiao has been around along time and married with many styles such as Fan Tzi or Tumbling Boxing where it has also developed a distinctly gymnastic flair.
