An Oral History of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World with Edgar Wright, Rotten Tomatoes
Cult classic Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is getting a special theatrical rerelease on April 30 to mark 10 years since it first hit the big screen. (Well, 11 years, technically, but the pandemic scuttled plans for an anniversary rerelease last year. ) To mark the occasion, director Edgar Wright sat down with Rotten Tomatoes for an exclusive and extended deep dive on how he and his creative team brought to life this beloved comic book about an awkward bass player forced to take on his girlfriends seven evil exes. Wright reveals how the project first came into his life, how he cast a group of future superstars, the way he got Beck involved in the soundtrack, and why he ended up spending one day on set looking for teeth in a pile of coins. Plus, the celebrated director shares his favorite easter eggs and quotes from the movie, and reflects on what it is that drew him to this unique story. Watch More: New on RT: Oral Histories:
