Holland. Two men work in open air making clogs by hand. Herman Ratterman (sp ) is a Dutch clog maker and we see all the various processes involved in carving clogs from slabs of wood. C, U of Mr Ratterman s feet. He wears clogs of course. Interior of a workshop where machine is used to carve two clogs at once it is pretty primitive but narrator states: Now the Dutch are making clogs on mass production lines, nothing too ambitious but it does prove that this Mediaeval footwear has more than a souvenir Ends with a shot of a dozens of painted clogs hanging up.
