Emetts Ideal Home (1957)
Croydon, Surrey. L, S of a large room with very unusual construction in the middle. People are walking around it, wondering. Construction is a model of totally mechanised home invention of Mr Rowland Emett. The construction is on show in a Croydon store. In the middle of the construction is a man with glasses a dummy. He is sitting in front of a fire place, reading a newspaper. M, S of a dummy from behind shows an old gramophone horn coming out of the fire place. There is a small fire lit at the bottom of the horn while a miniature TV set comes from its middle. C, U shot of a dummy moving his head back as the TV attacks him. This is called TV set for the shortsighted with its own coal fire Next to it is a cat chair. A cat (toy) is sitting on a stool playing with several toys hanging over its head from a wire tree.
