I suppose Im vaguely thankful that video calls and social media are a thing, but even wellintentioned algorithms are a poor substitute for the warmth of human interaction. The Promise of Something New is the final movement from this collection, and it imagines a time in the nottoodistant future when we can again interact outside of the algorithm. Heres hoping
