Broads Holiday (1962)
M, S of a London street with gridlocked traffic; L, S panning across the crowded rooftops of London. Several shots show teenagers on a camping holiday in the Norfolk Broads at Salhouse Broad. We see them setting up camp on the river bank, kayak canoeing and sailing on the river. Commentator tells us they are here with the National Association of Youth Clubs. Sir John Hunt s daughter, Pru (Prudence ) is seen winching up a sail; several shots of the teenagers working together to hoist the sail. Various shots of the young people sailing on the wherry under the tuition of an elderly man, Nat Birchan ( Burchan ). Several shots show them putting up their tents on the bank of the broads and cooking food over small fires.
